Due to the following event, we are requesting to file Low Attendance Waivers for Summer Creek Middle School on September 19, 2024.
- On September 19, 2024, there was a false social media potential threat referring to Summer Creek Middle School, which caused attendance to drop from the average of 92.61% to 73.93%.
According to the TEA State Waivers Guidebook, Texas school districts may request a waiver if attendance falls at least 10 percentage points below the overall average attendance rate for the district or applicable campus for the prior year because of inclement weather, health, or safety issues.
