Summary:

Texas law requires that a school board approve an operating budget annually. Pursuant to CE (Legal) updated June 7, 2006: "The Board shall have the authority to amend the approved budget or to adopt a supplementary emergency budget to cover necessary unforeseen expenses". The district is also required to maintain a balanced budget within fund and function categories.

Budgetary Impact:
|
Please amend the budget to allocate funds within the approved budget to more closely fit the district's needs and utilization. The administration recommends that we move money as presented on the attached budget amendment. This amendment is not increasing the budget.

Recommendation:

Recommend the Board of Trustees to amend the 2023-2024 Budget to reflect the changes requested.
