Summary:

Crowley ISD current beverage vendor is Dr. Pepper and the contract end date is approaching soon. The end date of the current agreement is July 31, 2024. A copy of the current executed contract for board review has been provided. If the extension is approved, it will start on August 1, 2024 and will end on July 31, 2029.
This Agreement has the option to extend for an additional five (5) years with Crowley ISD. CISD current beverage vendor, Dr. Pepper, has committed to increasing the sponsorship annual amount from $5,000 to $10,000 for the next five (5) years. This equates to the district bringing in an additional $25,000 in district revenue over the next five (5) years.
Crowley ISD campuses will continue to generate monthly commission based on Dr. Pepper product sales. Dr. Pepper will also continue to provide ten (10) free cases of carbonated drinks and or 16.9 oz bottle water annually to all CISD campuses. And last but not least, Dr. Pepper is committed to continuing the partnership by paying $350 for a team of four (4) to participate in the Chisholm Trail Education Foundation annual golf tournament for each contract year.

Budgetary Impact:
|
There is no budgetary impact to the district for the beverage contract. The vendor places machines throughout the district at no cost. This agreement, however, allows the district to generate additional revenue by way of the annual sponsorship as well as commissions from Dr. Pepper vending machines.

Recommend approval to extend the current agreement with Dr. Pepper for an additional five (5) years as presented.
