Due to the following event, we are requesting to file Low Attendance Waivers for J.A. Hargrave Elementary School on April 14, 2025.
- On April 14, 2025, law enforcement requested CISD to close J.A. Hargrave Elementary due to an active police investigation near the campus. This caused attendance to drop from the average of 91.81% to 0.0%.
According to the TEA State Waivers Guidebook, Texas school districts may request a waiver if attendance falls at least 10 percentage points below the overall average attendance rate for the district or applicable campus for the prior year because of inclement weather, health, or safety issues.
