Summary: The Society, Incorporated, is a non-profit national organization of women dedicated to enhancing, exposing and promoting youth in the arts for the betterment of our communities. The organization was founded 38 years ago, by four women who conceived the idea of organizing a group of professional women of color who shared the goals of friendship and service. The outcome of their efforts was the establishment of The Society as an organization to promote friendship among members and serve as a resource in the arts for young people. The membership currently consists of 41 chapters in 15 states. With a focus on under-served children, we provide support for young literary, visual, and performing artists. The Society Incorporated, Tarrant County Pearls Chapter would like to further our national and local objectives of supporting talented youth in the arts, and applaud the Crowley Black History Bowl. The level of sophistication and broad scope of activities of this program shows the dedication of the staff and the enthusiasm of the children. To that end, the Tarrant County Pearls would like to support these talented young people. We would like to offer a scholarship to Black History Quiz Bowl secondary division winners and special recognition and incentives for elementary quiz bowl winners.
