Summary:

Due to the following event, we are requesting to file Low Attendance Waivers for CISD Districtwide on February 19, 2025.
- On February 19, 2025, there was inclement weather and, although CISD did not close schools, attendance dropped significantly from the average of 92.49% to 78.20%.
According to the TEA State Waivers Guidebook, Texas school districts may request a waiver if attendance falls at least 10 percentage points below the overall average attendance rate for the district or applicable campus for the prior year because of inclement weather, health, or safety issues.
