CE (LEGAL) requires a Board Meeting for the purpose of adopting a budget for the succeeding year. Any taxpayer of the school district may be present to participate in the meeting. Truth-in-taxation requires the District to post its meeting to adopt the proposed budget and tax rate, together with a summary of the proposed budget in a local newspaper not earlier than the 30th day or later than the tenth day before the date of the public meeting/hearing. |
